Pro Bono
Volunteer Work
We believe in giving back to our community and profession. Following is a portfolio of our volunteer pro bono work. Each of these organizations has played a special part in our hearts and has been instrumental in making beautiful new connections. Here are some of the organizations and work we’re passionate about.
Featured Pro Bono Projects
Non Profit Funder
Website
“Building a website can feel intimidating if you are not tech savvy, Constellation Creative made it easy. Maresa helped me choose a design, and then walked me through different menu and navigation options. I provided the content and she helped me shorten and optimize it. I love the finished site. I highly recommend Maresa and her team.”

Working Classroom
Indigenous Student Artists
In 2018, artist and activist Joeseph Arnoux asked if middle and high school students could paint Nativo Artist Rooms. We helped the students learn about the commercial art mural process and developed 2 rooms and a fundraiser for this amazing organization. Working Classroom is a 30-year-old arts and social justice non-profit in Albuquerque, New Mexico, that cultivates the artistic, civic, and academic minds of youth through in-depth art projects with contemporary artists to amplify historically ignored voices, and resist systemic injustices and imagine a more equitable society.
Website App
Helping Food-Insecure & Restaurants
This website app was developed and launched in the spring of 2020 to help those hurt by COVID-19 closures. This website connects struggling small restaurants to provide meals to food-insecure individuals and is funded by private donations.
Constellation Creative provided the initial website and SEO consulting and content to get this organization ready for the next level.
Anti-Racist Activism
Pro-Bono Website
When our friend and former co-worker Mike Silva asked the Albuquerque (Burque) community to step up to help him fight racism we volunteered to help. We designed and developed a website for this new Black Lives Matter initiative.
Note: The organization decided not to renew the website.
Volunteer Boards of Directors
Our Creator, Maresa Thompson, has been an active community board of directors volunteer for over 25 years.
100 Women Albuqurque
This new Albuquerque chapter of a national organization gathers four times a year to donate $100 each to the same local nonprofit, raising thousands in an hour. This direct nonrestricted funding makes a huge difference for local nonprofits serving our community.Â
New Mexico Humanities Council
The NM Humanities Council funds and presents humanities programs to public audiences throughout the state. They support a wide variety of programs, projects, and organizations with topics ranging from local history and culture to international affairs. Maresa served as the Executive Committee Secretary from 2022-2024.
American Advertising Federation
Being an in-house creative for most of her career, Maresa felt it was very important to develop and expand her network. AAF was instrumental in building an amazing network and meeting creative advertising professionals from all over the country. She was active with this organization from 2007 – 2017 and served on the National Board as District 12 Governor, President of the local New Mexico Board, and many committee positions. Maresa still volunteers for this organization nationally as a speaker for luncheons and as an awards judge.Â
